🫀🔪 got a crush on tragedy

Vee Dagger is a Leeds-based Taiwanese lesbian drag artist inspired by villainesses, overwrought horror, and birds. Performing since 2019, her work draws on the aesthetics of Taiwanese opera and lesbian identity to explore the melodrama of overwhelming emotion, while incorporating her interest in theatrical fashion.

Vee recently completed a degree in Film Studies and is currently producing a series of events that combine film screenings with tribute performances. Her work thus far has been centred in the Northern queer art scene, including collaboration with queer art collectives in Manchester as well as residencies with Leeds Playhouse and East Street Arts. She has accumulated miscellaneous drag experience including performance at Transform Festival, film work and ballroom performance, but remains a DIY club kid at heart.
